There are different types of masking which we can work for:-

Layer Mask in Photoshop :-
Layer masks control the visibility of a layer, group, or Adjustment Layer. At the point when a layer veil is totally white, the layer is totally noticeable. To create a Layer mask

We can make a vector mask when we create a shape with any of the shape apparatuses. We can likewise create a vector mask by converting type to shape.
Select layer > Type > Convert to shape.
To add Vector mask to a layer:
Step1:- Choose a layer in layers panel (Layer > Vector mask > Reveal all)
Note: background layer can’t have a vector mask.
Step2:- In windows panel > paths > choose Vector mask.
Step3:- Use pen or any shape tool.
Step4:- Design a desired shape on Vector mask.
Step5:- Satisfied with the Vector mask then save it and move to next one.
Gradient Mask in Photoshop:
As I shown in Layer mask step 3 that how Gradient Mask works so again I’m going to tell you about it.
Step 1:- Select the Layer Mask button and click on the that.
Step 2:- Press the G button to use the tool.
Step3:- Drag the gradient on the layer mask
Clipping Mask in Photoshop:-
Clipping Mask is a method to control the visibility of a layer. So the, Clipping Mask are like layer Mask. However, while the final product may appear to be identical, Clipping Mask and layer Mask are altogether different. A layer mask uses black and white to show and hide the non-similar parts of the layer.
To use the clipping Mask here are the steps below given:-
Step 1:- Click on the layer which you have to work on. Then select on the layer menu and select Create Clipping mask.
Step 2:- Also, it’s as simple as that! With the layer mask made, the Layers board currently demonstrates the best (“Layer 0” ) indented to one side, with a little arrow pointing down at “Layer 1” below to it.
Step 3:- As the clipping mask hide the layers so we need to release the layer so for that, we need to select the layer> Release clipping mask.
So as shown now no layer is clipped on the layer.
Quick Mask in Photoshop:-
Quick Mask mode helps to make and alter choices rapidly, begin with selection and after that add to or less from it to make the mask. You can likewise make the mask completely in Quick Mask mode. Shading separates the ensured and unprotected territories. When you leave Quick Mask mode, the unprotected zones turn into a choice.
To use the Quick Mask tool the steps are given below:-
Step 1:- Select the selection tool, then select the small area of the picture you need to change.
Step 2:- Click the Quick Mask in the tool kit. A shading overlay covers and ensures the region outside the selection. Chosen areas are left unprotected by the mask. As a matter of course, Quick Mask mode shades the secured region using a yellow, half opaque overlay.
Step 3:- Select the painting tool to edit the mask.
Step 4:- Then star the painting to the selected area. Then select the standard mode button to turn off the quick mask.
Step 5:- Then apply some changes which you need to do in the image. Then Select> Deselect the selection.
Channel Mask in Photoshop:-
Channels are used to store colouring data around a picture or to store selections in Photoshop. Photoshop makes shading data channels consequently and all Photoshop pictures contain somewhere around one channel. Bitmap-mode, grayscale, duotone, and ordered shading pictures are each single-channel modes.
To use the Channel Mask here are the steps.
Step 1:- Select the Model layer in the Layers board.
Step 2:- Pick Image > Mode > CMYK Color. Snap Don’t Merge in the exchange box that shows up, in light of the fact that you need to keep your layers unblemished. Snap OK in case you’re incited about shading profiles.
Step 3:- Click the Channel tab. In the Channel mask, select the Black channel. At that point pick Duplicate Channel from the Channels board menu. Name the channel Hair, and snap OK.
